Thanksgiving was a bit different this year. Jeremiah had to work, so Landon & I spent the morning with him, once he left for work Landon & I went to my parents house. We had an awesome dinner, and enjoyed the company of my parents, sisters, brother-in-law, and nephew Dublin =)
After dinner all us girls made our "game plan" for the next morning-- black friday!
Black friday was awesome! I can successfully say I got everything I wanted. Well except for some of the kids PJ's walmart had for $3. The mexicans at walmart were on those like flies on crap! I think some of them came
to walmart @ 4 am just to line up and wait for those to be released!! But I did get all the other stuff I went for. Oh by the way, did I mention I slept for 15 minutes before conquering black friday? Yes, it's true. I didn't get to be until almost 2:30.. and then got up @ 2:45 and went to the AV to meet up with my mom and sisters. My mom, Aubrey, and myself hit up walmart and got everything we all needed. My sisters Brittany & Caitlin went to Target and got everything we wanted. We then meet up, had a disgusting, small, overpriced breakfast @ Ihop before going to Kohls. By this time I was so exhausted I found a cute pair of fuzzy boots/slippers for $12 and stood in line with them until my mom was ready to check out. The line wrapped around the entire store- so it took us an hour before we checked out! After that I got in my truck and headed home. I was so exhausted driving home, I was literally falling asleep! I finally got home and crashed! The rest of the day I spent lying on the couch trying to get any bit of energy I could. No such luck though.
On Saturday I had to catch up on all the housework I didn't do on Friday! I managed to get almost the entire house put together, getting stuff up on the wall was the only thing I didn't get done. Sunday morning I got as
many pictures and shelves on the wall as I could before our guests arrived. Because Jeremiah had to work on Thanksgiving, we decided to have our own Thanksgiving on Sunday with some friends. It was a fabulous dinner, Jeremiah did a GREAT job in the kitchen, as he always does! I was disappointed I didn't get to make a cute table setting or center piece, we decided to go with "fancy" paper plates, to help create less dishes that need washed! Plus it was really only Jer's guy friends that came- so I don't think they care what the table setting was, as long as food was on their plates! LOL.
Here is a picture of my little lousy center piece for our Thanksgiving dinner.
